Accessibility Statement for

Zamek Królewski w Warszawie - Muzeum. Rezydencja Królów i Rzeczypospolitej is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Act of April 4, 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public bodies.

The Accessibility Statement applies to the website Press office of the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

  • Date of website publication: 4 March 2024 r.
  • Date of last major update: 4 March 2024 r.

The state of digital accessibility

This website is non-compliant with the annex to the Act of April 4, 2019, on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to non-compliance listed below.

Inaccessible content

Non-compliance with the attachment

Multimedia content on the website is not accessible via keyboard. Inaccessible multimedia, does not have a text-based alternative. Skipping media playback buttons when using a keyboard prevents blind users or those with limited mobility from operating them. No warning before opening the BIP website. The inability to start media using a keyboard means that users cannot navigate all interactive elements of the website. Some subpages (except for the homepage and the “Press Information” section) do not have unique page titles in the HTML code. As a result, users of screen readers or those browsing with tabs may not know which subpage they are on. Images and graphics have alternative text that does not fully describe the visual content of the materials. Video elements and the audio recording from the “Zamki srebrnego wieku” ("Silver age castles") conference do not include descriptions explaining what the material presents. There is an option to enable captions for the video materials. Links leading to file downloads are labeled with the generic word “Download” without additional information about the file type or content. For screen reader users, all links sound identical, causing confusion and making it difficult to quickly find the desired file. In the “Journalist Subscription” section, there is a reference to the full information on personal data processing labeled as “HERE” instead of using a link with a clear and descriptive label.
