New Sightseeing Routes at the Royal Castle in Warsaw

Beginning May 2, the Royal Castle in Warsaw will be transformed. New sightseeing routes will open areas previously inaccessible to visitors, providing deeper insight into the former royal residence—from the intimacy of "Thursday Luncheons" to the heights of grand politics.

For history enthusiasts, a major highlight will be the reopening of long-inaccessible interiors. As part of the Royal Route, visitors can now explore the Green Room, dedicated to social games, and the renowned Yellow Room, where King Stanislaus Augustus welcomed artists and scholars for the legendary Thursday Luncheons.

The Royal Route

This is an exceptional opportunity to go behind the scenes of the last Polish monarch's life. Highlights include the spectacular state rooms of the Great Apartment—such as the Throne Room, the Great Assembly Hall, and the Canaletto Room, home to the most renowned gallery of old Warsaw vedute. The route is completed by a visit to the private Royal Apartment, providing an intimate glimpse into the ruler’s chambers, including the newly opened Yellow and Green Rooms.

The Museum Route

This route offers a journey through world-class museum collections. Visitors will encounter priceless works by Jan Matejko and Rembrandt and visit the historic Senate Chamber, where the Constitution of May 3 was signed. The experience is further enriched by access to the apartments of the presidents of the Second Polish Republic, the rooms of Prince Stanisław Poniatowski, the Porcelain Gallery, and the Parliamentary Chambers.

The Palace Route

It is the perfect opportunity to visit the Tin-Roofed Palace and a special Castle route, featuring the Lanckoroński Gallery and its most precious masterpieces, free of charge. On these days, the residence is open for individual tours. Free tickets are available at the box office immediately before your visit (be sure to arrive early, as the number of tickets is limited!).
